CALL FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN TRAINING // InDesign Level 1

  • 25th – 28th November 2019
  • Bayimba Offices – Ntinda Factory Rd
  • Requirement: Laptop with Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro 
  • Course fee: 35,000 UGX per day

Ever since its inception Bayimba has organized a range of workshops that aim at introducing artists to new arts disciplines, developing their artistic skills and promoting original art productions. To enhance graphic design skills necessary for continuous attractive Corporate Designing and business creativity, the Bayimba Academy is organizing graphic design Training.

The training will be delivered by a professional graphic designer Christine Voigts, an accomplished graphic-designer, living and working in Berlin, Germany with a focus in Corporate Design and business creativity for big companies.

The training will tackle skills training in the most important Layout-Programme for Graphic–Designers, Indesign. Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat will also be included. How to set up a document well, to make working with it efficient and easy. The focus of this training will be Indesign: anything you can do with Illustrator and Photoshop can be done with Indesign – much faster, much better and much easier.

The training requires knowledge and skills in the Adobe-programs. Selected participants are expected to attend the full day’s sessions of the selected dates, and must bring their own laptop with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro software programmes. Transport, Meals and accommodation will have to be covered by participants themselves. Selected participants are required to pay a course fee of (35,000 UGX) per selected Module/per day prior to course beginning.

Bayimba will confirm receipt of your entry form. A professional team will assess the submissions received and decide which individuals will participate in the 2019 graphics design training.

Interested participants are required to submit the following information along with the entry form before 5th November 2019 to johnmary@bayimba.org:

  1. A completed entry form,
  2. A profile/short biography (max. 800 words) with recent picture(s) that will be used for publicity,
  3. A motivation for your participation in the training (max. 500 words),
  4. Samples of your work. (max 5 Images)
