2016 Graphic Design Training

Course Details

This training is designed to upgrade knowledge and skills of professional graphic-designers. The training will tackle skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign: how to use the programs efficiently and how to set up a document well. It will also deal with Corporate Design for a small project and the design process in the designer-client relationship.Furthermore, the training will explore the rules and fine details of good typography and orthography. Information Graphics will also be a theme by discussing and highlighting of good visualizations of facts. We will also discuss and work on existing Logos.

Who is the program for?

The modules are designed to upgrade knowledge and skills of professional graphic designers. All modules require knowledge and skills in the Adobe Programs.

What are the requirements?

It is compulsory for participant to have a laptop with Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro. Participants are required to attend full day session of the registered module(s).

Duration

The training will take place from the 8th – 15th September 2016 from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with the exception of Sunday. Please note participants are required to attend the full day session of their selected module.

Venue

The training will be held at the Bayimba Office in Kampala, Uganda

Trainers

The training will be facilitated by a professional graphic designer Christine Voigts. Christine Voigts is an accomplished graphic designer who lives and works in Berlin, Germany with a focus on Corporate Design and business creativity for large companies.

Fee

Selected participants are required to pay a course fee of (25,000 UGX) per selected module prior to course beginning. Kindly note that Module 1 is a two day session which will be charged (50,000) UGX
