The training is designed to equip photographers and videographers with professional stage photography and videography skills and to stretch participants’ hands-on audio-visual techniques to cover live events, such as concerts and festivals. Photographers will be taught the principal technical aspects of stage photography while videographers will get hands-on practical audio-visual skills for (live) event coverage and basics of video editing.
Who is the training for?
The training is targeting photographers and videographers who want to specialize and become experts in stage photography and videography. Talented participants from last year’s live event coverage training will receive priority.
The training will take place from 15th to 23rd September 2014 and will be organised in conjunction with the 7th edition of the Bayimba International Festival of the Arts.
The training will be held at the National Theatre.
To be announced.
The training is free of charge. Participants are expected to attend the whole period of the training and bring their own professional equipment (photo/video camera, laptop with professional software). Participants will be provided with food, drinks and a local transport allowance, and a compensation payment for items produced; any other cost (international travel, accommodation) will have to be covered by participants themselves.
How to apply?
You are required to apply for participation by completing and submitting the application form together with the required further information by 30th of June 2014.
